About Brittany-Lyne
After a chaotic upbringing with many siblings, foster care, biological and forever family members- I had a intangable desire to work with growing bellies and new families. I dove into Doula work at the ripe age of seventeen. I have spent years in academia studying Women, Gender, Sexualities and Midwifery at Laurentian University.
I’m known for bringing a combination of gentleness, fun, and knowing how to navigate the medical system effectively into my work. I’m intentional about provided personalized care to every client, with a deep commitment to preparing for birth and postpartum with a shame-free, non-outcome focused framework.
As a queer surrogate, doula and midwifery student I understand the many dimensions of growing a family. I have a gift for reading people in labour and attending to their needs without words. My goal is to help clients feel safe and supported throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum’s unknowns.
Whether two parent, single parent, intended parent, surrogate, poly, queer, blended – however your family comes – You will be deeply cared for!
When I’m not working in birth, I can be found hanging out with friends discussing politics & feminism and running marathons (only on Netflix!). I am known for tearing up the dance floor, laughing unapologetically loud and giving great hugs.

“I was very hesitant to hire a doula but I’m so happy that I trusted my gut with Brittany-Lyne! Brittany-Lyne taught a tailored birth class for my partner & I, and I knew after that experience that I had to have her at my birth. I had 2 birth partners who are proficient in this area… but nothing can compare to the support Brittany-Lyne provided.
It was more than pain management … It was the constant support, encouragement, reading *exactly* what I needed, compassion, and help with my partner. She is truly someone who can ‘read’ what people need.
Even my midwives commented on how they’ve never seen such an amazing doula. My partner actually said afterwards that having her with us was worth any amount of money possible.”
